      I do agree as well but i think that there is a loss of context here. In any game using the first "starter" weapon is a bit painful as you grow. Until we get up-gradable or better weapons this will be the norm. I remember working through Fire Fall from Early Alpha to final the systems and game changed drastically.

      This just the Alpha 2.1, the game has so much left to give and have implemented. To me in most true Testing phases i see it as a progression and adaption from concept to working game.

      Alpha 1 = Proof of Concept and debugging of core systems
      Alpha 2 = Implementation of the broader scope of working concept and development of
      Environment.
      Betas 1 = True Core game testing and system stability
      Open Beta = Stress testing final polishing

      We do not have Metal weapons, wood and stone make all current weapons. No Swords, Pikes, Halberds, Battle Axes, a bit of perspective is always good. Yes it is frustrating but keep in mind these are not our "Final" Characters.

      Unfortunately "Steam" and other services have spoiled gamers with "Early Access" to games that are 80%. They have this misconception of Alpha/Beta testing but it is more the Open Beta.

      Personally i enjoy the development of several specialized characters more then just 1 super toon. For me it is not the race to be best it is to the creation of the best to fit my mood/play style.

      The Mage is in rags since it is the starter armor, in this game. Leather is the only Advanced armor that can be produce since blacksmiths are not implemented. this was probably done to help with the survive-ability of the Mage archetype

      FYI - In most dungeon crawlers based on D&D rules simple leather is in the light armor class. The mages go cloth but we don't have enchanting yet, that will probably be were we get better armor for mage.

      No Worries!

      If you are wearing anything other that the starting cloth armor for mage there is a mana penalty. I have not noticed an issue but my toon is using all Leather so i use more mana regardless.

      Tomorrow when the game is up i will see if i can replicate the issue.

      Yeah it would be interesting to see something like COOP combos or just straight combos.

      The ones i can think of the i used to use back in the D&D Days were the following.

      1. Grease/Fire Ball - Spell combo to create a pool of fire.
      2. Hold/Wall of Fire - Holds target in wall of fire for increased DOT
      3. Wall of Water/Cone of Cold - When cast in a hallway 5' wide it creates a wall of ice 12" thick
      4. Web/Wall of Fire - Similar to Combo #2 but adds damage when Wed ignites.

      There are quite a few that can be used in combos, it just takes imagination. (And Programmer support in PC Games)

      IMO I would like to see arenas instead of a hard switch for the FF/PVP inside an alliance and guild.

      Have it as blueprints available to the Guild Leaders in there Guild house, with multiple sizes available. Something like small 1v1 scale-able to 10v10 for large guilds. It would open FF/PVP inside the arena but if it is in the guild hall or next to it it would be safe passage to and from. That way you could train/experiment 1v1 or try 10v10 combat strategies.

      It could be expanded further for say Governors to add to towns with a ranking system in the town versions.

      Yeah some packs i go 5 or six misses and some i hit every swing it seems random. I did try a build with more accuracy (Stag Helm) and it seemed to reduce the pain a bit. I think it is just part of the Alpha testing all systems, it may be different on go live. There will be more accessories and buffs to help out with the accuracy.

      It makes sense that as your character "grow" they get better at hitting stuff.
